November intro.

Hi, everyone… Zack again. A big thank you to Mike for his amazing work on the Trick or Treat edition. I think it’s safe to say this has been the best round yet!

Now it’s November, and I’m taking back over! (I can hear some of you groaning already.) Before we get started, here’s a quick recap of “the rules”:

  • Shots are limited to feature-length motion pictures available on Region 1 (or region-free) DVD. Most of them will probably be available from Netflix.
  • Two shots from the same movie will be never used in the same quiz. However, movies may reappear from quiz to quiz.
  • Hints will be given to no one or everyone.
  • Guess as many times as you like.

Trick or Treat Wrapup

Hey, this was loads of fun, but I’m glad to be dumping Shot by Shot back in Zack’s lap. It’s a lot of work.

(I just hope he can at least equal my score-updating performance.)

Once again, thanks to Alexis for the DVDs.

I’ll be contacting Zack, Carrie and ctod about their prizes soon. I’m in a generous mood.

No. 35 was “Halloween III: Season of the Witch” (Tommy Lee Wallace, 1982). Add it to your Netflix queue. One of the worst movies ever made. Ed Wood could have done better.

No. 34 was “Election” (Alexander Payne, 1999). Add it to your Netflix queue.

No. 33 was “Adaptation” (Spike Jonze, 2002). Add it to your Netflix queue.

No. 32 was “The Spy Who Loved Me” (Lewis Gilbert, 1979). Add it to your Netflix queue.

No. 31 was “Kind Hearts and Coronets” (Robert Hamer, 1949). Add it to your Netflix queue. Yes, that’s Obi Wan.

No. 30 was “Repo Man” (Alex Cox, 1984). Add it to your Netflix queue.

No. 29 was “Sid and Nancy” (Alex Cox, 1986). Add it to your Netflix queue.

No. 28 was “The Lost Boys” (Joel Schumacher, 1987). Add it to your Netflix queue.

The Bonus Round

Scores updated 11:08 p.m. ET Sunday.

Alexis score: My DVD source has 11 of 23 of her own movies and 16 of 35 overall, putting her in 6th place if she was on the scoreboard.

I’m slightly amazed people are missing No. 32 on this level. Let me give you a big hint: The Bond Girl is Barbara Bach.

Bonus round hint: 28.57% of the final seven shots are by a single director.

We’re down to shots worth one point. I guarantee them to all be easily Googled if not instantly recognized.

Voting ends at midnight Halloween. Everyone who is in first place will get a prize that strikes my fancy at midnight Halloween. I guess that means you’re lucky I don’t drink.

Remember you can still vote on Nos. 27-28 for regular one-point scoring.

See my startling personal admission on No. 29.
